Kara graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2007 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Working initially in a large public hospital, she rotated into the hand therapy team where she remained until leaving Melbourne.

Kara spent time in the United Kingdom working in a large military rehabilitation hospital with major trauma patients. Upon her return to Melbourne in 2013, Kara decided to pursue a career focused on hand therapy, working initially in both the private and public sector before undertaking a full time role with Ben Cunningham and the team at Action Rehab in 2014.

Kara is a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter growing up in the area as a child. She currently consults to the Western Bulldogs AFLW team and works closely with their players and Physiotherapists on their elbow, wrist and hand therapy rehabilitation.

Kara’s areas of particular interest include trauma and sport related injuries with a focus on using a patient’s hobbies, sporting goals and passions as therapeutic tools to assist in recovery.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys a very active social life and loves to travel as often and to as many different places in the world as she can. She is also an avid gym goer, swimmer and die hard Bulldog.
