In most cases Carpal Tunnel can be treated with us here at Action Rehab with nonsurgical therapy. Our therapists will work with you to create a custom thermoplastic waterproof orthosis that will hold your wist still and can relieve some symptoms. In some cases surgery may be the best option if your symptoms do not respond to other treatments.
Before the surgery, we make sure you know what you can expect from it. After the surgery, we prepare and then implement your hand rehabilitation program, which can include:
- Orthotics/Bracing/Splinting
- Massage
- Joint Protection
- Education
- Strengthening
The rehabilitation program will look to prevent post-surgery joint stiffness, promote muscle mobility and maximise the movement and capability of your hand.
